Notification about new sections / groups

I've checked every single "notify me" box I've found, and only discovered this area by noticing that there was a new "APLDN User IO" area -- it's not even under "discussion groups".

Shouldn't we be notified when there are any new discussion groups?

I haven't figured out why I haven't been getting notifications; I thought things had "gone quiet". Has everyone else been getting them?
