Can you PLEASE get rid of the vapid "quotes" that do nothing but waste bandwidth, stealing potentially useful screen real estate from discussion groups? Signed, Mr. Cranky.

Ummm... what quotes?  I can't get it to do any quoting for me, even when I want it!

(And I do want it, when I'm replying to a thread with several possible comments that I could be replying to.)

Rex may be referring to the quotes appearing in the "APLDN Notification" e-mails.

Rex should be the ultimate arbiter of what he means, but I think he is referring to the Fortune Generator to the right of these posts. They do take up a lot of valuable space. /Mark

Mark has it right.  My subject line referred to my favorite gem:

Please.  A waste of perfectly good electrons.

More importantly, a waste of screen real estate.  Causes code to be displayed with []PW of about 35.
