Stuff I can't get appears in "new to you"

Things in various "file exchange" areas to which I don't have access are showing in my "new to you" display. That's less than useful. I may have suggested this before, but it would be nice if there were checkboxes next to the items displayed in "new to you" so I could get rid of the ones I'd seen. It would also be nice if the list were displayed as threads, so I could get rid of an entire thread with one view (or one click, if the checkboxes are added).

Both of your suggestions are very good.  Having check boxes to bulk remove items from the "New To You" list would be a handy tool, and also threads grouped or nested with their related posts would be a nice visual improvement.

Both of these are on the list of possible enhancements for the APLDN, and they will be coded as soon as time permits.

For now, you can visit every link which you are interested in on the "New To You" page, and then remove from the list all items which you cannot access or have already seen by running the "Mark All As Read" button.  This is certainly not the best of all solutions, but at least you will not have several pages of unwanted links in your "New To You" list.

It's my understanding that the APLDN site is based on one of the ASP.NET "starter kits" distributed by MS. There have no doubt been some changes, but I would be willing to look at doing some of them. The biggest obstacle would be if the database schema is significantly different from what was there originally. (Maybe the continuation of this should be offline.)
