Posted: Friday, October 13, 2006 6:01 PM (EST)

APL2000 is pleased to announce the release of APL+Win 6.4.  APL+Win 6.0 APLDN subscription licensees and current APL+Win 5.x APLDN premium licensees are entitled to this update.  Click download to retrieve the update.

This is the list of the new features/enhancements and bug fixes in APL+Win 6.4:

New Features/Ehancements:

1. xPrintOptions Property: The xPrintOptions property enables printing of header rows and columns in the APL Grid.

2. ŒWCALL 'W_Def': W_Def is a new built-in function that is used create WCALL definitions and other strings in your application that are stored into a local cache (memory) rather than written into the INI file.

3. ŒWCALL 'W_Reset': W_Reset is a built-in function that is used to reset the WCALL definition bindings so they can be reloaded without restarting APL+Win.

4. Recent Lines Dialog Enhancements: The Recent Lines dialog box is now non-modal, resizable and can be made to remain on top.

5. Resize grip added to session manager dialogs: Recent Lines, Fetch Object and Open Objects.

6. New tooltipstyle Property: A new property on the system object that controls the behavior of a tooltip set for a control.

7. Suppressing the "Unable to edit object" message in onEditStart handler: This message can now be suppressed in the onEditStart handler.

8. Drawing Gradients: The Draw method was enhanced with a new "Grad" operation for drawing gradients.

9. Numeric Values with Full Precision: The APL Grid was enhanced to represent full precision numbers in XML data.

10. New xFormatMode Property: The xFormatMode property is used to control how currency values are formatted for cells in APL Grid.

11. New xMissingValue and xMissing Properties: The xMissingValue and xMissing properties were added to address the concept of "mising values" in cells in APL Grid.

Bug Fixes:

1. Workspaces containing MOM objects with functions did not copy correctly into workspaces.

2. Selective assignment on arrays of MOM references or UCS data caused APL+Win to exit.

3. Changing the border property reasserted the visible attribute for the Form that resulted in some visual anomalies.

4. ActiveX control objects didn't repaint correctly when the Paint method was called in versions 6.0.10 and earlier.  For example, with the Shell.Explorer ActiveX control, when calling the Paint method after calling the XNavigate2 method, the Shell.Explorer control remained grayed.

5. Changing the focus to a .NET ActiveX control object on a form caused APL+Win to freeze.

6. The six space indent in the session was not preserved when pasting text.

7. The correct merged cell values were not stored in the xml and content properties for the APL Grid object when the APL Grid object had two or more header rows.

8. When editing a variable beginning with delta-underbar, the delta-underbar displayed as the floor primitive in ŒWARG in the onEditStart handler.

9. The APL Grid did not apply the proper formatting for cells with currency values.  Refer to the new xFormatMode property for more information.
