Blinking Value Tips

I find that APL+Win "value tips" blink on and off repeatedly when certain mouse pointer schemes are in effect.

Go to Control Panel, Mouse Properties, "Pointers" tab, and set the "Scheme".

When I use the "Windows Standard (large)" or "Windows Standard (extra large)" mouse pointer scheme, value tips blink; if I go back to the "Windows Default" scheme, the value tips stop blinking.  This is with APL version 5.2, although I think it has been happening since version 3.6.

It would be nice if this could be fixed.  Some of us geezers like those larger mouse pointers...

We are treating this problem as a new bug.

Thank you for reporting it.

Hi Rex, It would be a LOT easier for ME if you would just try one of these techniques instead of using a big mouse pointer <grin>: http://shopper.cnet.com/4002-7409_9-6490729.html Seriously, I'll take a look. I know that the real reason you found this bug is more passive aggressive <grin> as a payback for those bugs I found when you were developing the latest round of ]DIFF ucmd enhancements (which are really awesome). Best, Pat
