Unable to configure SSL in APLWS Desktop Version 2.3.7 Beta
Posted: Tuesday, June 22, 2004 8:09 PM (EST)

Jairo (or anyone else in the know),

After upgrading to this latest version of web sevices, when I look at the properties for my web server, the button titled "SSL Setup" is disabled (so is the "Advanced" button next to the IP Address field if that matters).

In a previous version I was able to configure SSL with my *.pfx file so when I installed the new version I copied in my old AplWebServices.Config file.  SSL does work, however, I need to update the path to the *.pfx file since my old certificate will expire soon.  Unless I am missing something, I don't see a way to do this with the button being disabled.  I've even tried exporting my configuration hoping that the SSL config info would be there but it's not.

Any suggestions?

Sam,

The SSL support is not included in APL+WebServices.

There is another product called APL+CommerceServer that includes the SSL support. The first version of this product will be available June 30. For more information check the "APL2000 Web Integration Roadmap" at http://www.apl2000.com/WebIntegration/WIProductInfo/WIRoadMap/default.aspx

Thanks Jairo, that would explain it.
