2 suggestions for new functionality for the grid

I have two suggestions for new functionality for the grid

1) Drag-and-drop a selection to copy or move it

With the Formula One Workbook (as well as with MS Excel) there are two possibilities for copying (and moving) cells using the pointer. The first one is what you named the “Replication Mode” (they named it: Copy a selection to the right or down using dragging). The second one is: Drag-and-drop a selection to copy or move it

Here is a description of this functionality from the Formula One user’s guide

a) Select the cells that contain the data you want to move or copy
b) Position the pointer on the border of the selection
when placed on the selection border, the pointer changes to an arrow
c) When the pointer changes to an arrow …
… to move the selection, hold down the mouse button and drag-and-drop thee selection to the new location
… to copy the selection, hold down the CTRL key and drag-and-drop the selection to the new location
d) When you drag-and drop a selection border, the highlighted area moves to indicate the placement of the selection
d). When the pointer is at the appropriate location, release the mouse button

2) Selecting multiple rows and columns
To select a row or columns you have the position the pointer on the head of the row or column and than click the header. With Formula One (as well as with MS Excel) dragging the pointer while clicking selects the columns to left or right (or rows above or below).

As we have replaced the Formula One spreadsheet in our APL-Win application (and we are very happy to have the APL grid) it would be nice to have this functionality.
