This training will teach the following aspects of the APL+Win GUI:
- Understand fundamental Windows concepts including objects, properties, methods and events.
- Learn how to build forms, the basic APL+Win top level object for interaction with the user.
- Learn how to add the simple controls to a form including a label, button, list, edit combo, check, option and menu control.
- Learn how to make your program respond to user events like clicking a button or resizing a form.
- Introduction to some of the more complex controls, including the tree, listview, selector, and timer controls.
- Introduction to the use of images and pictures on forms and controls.
- Learn different ways in which your program can display forms from other forms.
- Learn how a program communicates between controls.
- Learn how to call common user dialogs for displaying a message or soliciting a file name.
- Introduction to third party controls and APL+Win's OCX interface.
- Introduction to the underlying Windows API.
